What happens if I run out of AI credits?

While you can continue to use all other ToolJet features, you can contact us at [email protected] to purchase extra AI credits as per your need.

Does building through a coding agent use AI credits?

No. ToolJet AI in the canvas uses your AI credits. When you build through the ToolJet plugin in Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor, the model runs on your own agent subscription, so no ToolJet AI credits are consumed.

Does connecting a coding agent add a builder?

No. The plugin runs as the developer who connected it, with exactly their permissions, so it is covered by that person’s existing builder seat. You are billed for the people who build, not for the agents they use.

Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Yes, you can change plans at any time. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated amount for the remainder of your billing cycle.

Do unused AI credits roll over?

No, AI credits reset at the beginning of each billing cycle. This helps us ensure consistent service quality for all users.

Is it possible to upgrade from self-hosted community edition?

Yes! It won't take more than a few minutes to upgrade from the community edition to enterprise edition.

Can I deploy ToolJet on-premise?

Yes. ToolJet can run on your own infrastructure, starting with the free Community Edition. Fully offline operation, including licensing, requires the Self-hosted Enterprise air-gapped add-on.

Is there a free trial available?

Start with the Free plan to evaluate ToolJet. Contact our team to arrange a trial of paid features and confirm the license and deployment requirements.

Do you have special pricing for open source / non-profit projects?

Can I use my own LLM API keys?
