A manufacturing quality inspection app for quality leads and shop-floor teams. Record sample results, identify batch holds, and track corrective actions in one workspace.

Batchline is an editable ToolJet app for tracking sample inspections and corrective actions against production batches. The overview summarizes the latest inspection result for each batch; focused pages let staff record checks, review recent notes, and assign follow-up work. It runs on ToolJet Database with fictional records. The built app is available for review; the deployable package still needs installation validation.
Built for Quality leads, production supervisors, and inspectors at small manufacturers coordinating batch checks and follow-up work.
Three connected pages keep inspection evidence and corrective work tied to the same batch.
See passed, held, and awaiting batches using their latest inspection. Compare Machining, Assembly, and Finishing, and review open corrective actions.
Choose a batch, enter sampled and defective quantities, identify the defect category, and add inspector notes. Open Details to review the latest five inspection records.
Create an action linked to a batch, set priority and owner, then update progress or record a resolution. A new inspection changes the batch result; resolving an action does not.
A segmented status summary and production-line bars show where batches stand. All numbers come from the current database records, using the latest inspection for each batch.
Record inspector, sample size, defective units, category, and notes. Save is blocked for missing fields, a sample larger than the lot, defects larger than the sample, or an inconsistent defect category.
Open a batch’s details to read its recent inspection results, inspector, date, and notes. The panel displays the latest five records and handles a batch with no inspections.
Assign corrective work to a named owner, set Normal or High priority, and track Open, In progress, or Resolved status. Progress and resolution notes stay attached to the action.
The pilot uses 3 tables with fictional records. No external database is needed to explore the source app.
| Table | Sample data | What it stores |
|---|---|---|
| Production batches | 12 sample batches | Batch code, part, production line, lot quantity, and target time. |
| Inspections | 9 sample inspections | Batch, inspector, sample size, defective units, category, notes, and recording time. |
| Corrective actions | 5 sample actions | Batch, issue, priority, owner, status, and progress or resolution notes. |
This pilot uses a simple zero-defect sample rule: zero defects means Passed; any defect means Hold. It is not a shipment-release system, an AQL sampling engine, or a certified quality management system. ERP integration, instrument connections, role policies, and mobile layouts are not included. Reads are capped at 1,000 rows per table with a limit notice; larger datasets need server pagination.
This design is a starting point. Describe the look you want, add your logo and brand colors, or ask for new features in a prompt. Use the starter prompt to build your own version in the ToolJet AI builder, or use a suggested prompt to modify an app you already have. Review and test the result.
Suggested prompts describe changes you can request. Additional features and translations still need to be built and tested.
Choose ToolJet Cloud, or download the application package to import into your self-hosted instance once the template is released.
Explore the sample records in ToolJet Database, then add your records and configure the workflow for your team.
Describe your preferred design, branding, and new features in the AI builder. Test your workflow, then share your app with the people who need it.
The built app includes an overview, batch inspection entry and recent results, and corrective-action tracking. Its ToolJet Database contains 12 fictional batches, 9 inspection records, and 5 corrective actions.
The latest inspection record determines the displayed result. A batch with zero defective sampled units is Passed; any defective unit makes it Hold. A batch without a result is Awaiting. This simple starter rule is not an AQL sampling plan or authorization to ship.
No. Corrective-action status and batch inspection results are separate. Record a new inspection to change the displayed batch result after corrective work. The app does not perform shipment release.
Yes. Use the starter prompt to build your version, or ask the ToolJet AI builder to change an existing app’s colors, logo, layout, fields, checklist, or workflow. Requested additions need implementation and testing.
The pilot uses ToolJet Database with fictional records and needs no external database connection. ERP and instrument integrations are not included. Adapting it to those systems requires matching schemas, authentication, and testing.
Yes. Native sun and moon controls switch the dashboard, tables, and forms. Both appearances have been reviewed. The local viewer can return to light after a reload; remembered preference is not promised.
The source app is built and its primary inspection and corrective-action workflows have been tested. Public deploy and download remain unavailable while the importable package and automatic database setup are validated.
No certification or regulatory compliance is claimed. Role-based policies, approval signatures, tamper-resistant audit trails, mobile use, and operation above the 1,000-row-per-table pilot limit require additional work.
The built app is in English. French and other languages can be requested with AI, but translated app versions are not included yet.
